The 16th Annual Celebrity Extravaganza Golf Classic was another hit with the Marshall Faulk Foundation supporters. Sponsors, golfers and guests attended the Pairings Party held on Sunday night to kick-off the weekend festivities. The event was held at the Eagle’s Nest at Pechanga Resort and Casino where attendees could mingle with celebrities while keeping an eye on the competition. Celebrity guests included Rich Eisen, Jeff Garcia, Greg Maddux, Brian McKnight, Junior Seau, Sterling Sharpe and many others.
 Every craving was met with celebratory cocktails and an array of food. The silent and live auction captured the attention of many an eager bidder with packages ranging from sports memorabilia to “staycations” at premier hotels and spas. The Pay-To-Pick-Your-Pro contest allowed the golfing teams to go head-to-head to bid on the celebrity of their choice to lead their team for Monday morning.
Monday morning, on-course golf activities by Pros Fore Charity kept the players entertained and the competitive edge fresh and fun. Vendors provided specialty cocktails, mouth-watering food items and even tailored cigars to keep the ball rolling. The tournament concluded with the Awards Reception where contest prizes and winning packages were awarded to the winning team. The tournament winner with a score of 53 went to Team Paradise led by Garry Templeton and Team Captain, Cindy Gilmore.
Overall, the weekend event netted over $90,000 for the Marshall Faulk Foundation. 2012 is expected to be even better than the last so mark your calendars for the 17th Annual Celebrity Extravaganza on November 4th-5th!
