Event Overview Lounge 28 Pairings Reception Music, mingling, complimentary food and beverages and some red carpet action is a taste of what the participants for the 2009 Pairings Reception will enjoy on this grand evening! Surrounded by celebrities Julius “Dr. J” Erving, Sterling Sharpe, Kenny Lofton, Joe Torre, Michael Strahan, Deion Sanders, and many more, the Pairings Party brings Marshall Faulk and celebrity friends together, giving them the opportunity to mingle with participants before they team up for a little friendly competition in the golf tournament at the spectacular “Journey at Pechanga” Golf Course. The night begins on the glamorous red carpet, where pictures snapped capture the joy that one receives when helping make a difference. With the band and DJ highlighting the night with some tunes, the mingling begins with food and drinks and some quality time with Marshall Faulk. As the night commences, so does the silent auction, in which upscale dinner dates, romantic getaways and a beautiful day on the course are a few items to look forward to! Event Overview Celebrity Golf Classic Marshall Faulk and celebrity friends will team up with participants for a foursome tournament at the spectacular “Journey at Pechanga” Golf Course. Proceeds benefit the Marshall Faulk Foundation. Get ready to hit ‘em long and hit ‘em straight as the excitement from the night before rallies its way onto the greens. Socializing with team members and familiar faces at registration, and the celebrity photo shoot is how the day begins. VIP gift bags, valued at over $500, are handed out with gear and equipment from Nike, Titleist and many more. The morning starts with a shot gun tee-off at 10 a.m. providing the teams with different things to indulge in on almost every hole. Stop briefly to grab a bite to eat and drink from the various vendors along the path, and as you play seize the opportunity to relax a moment with massage stations, provided by the Pechanga Resort. As the day continues the ladies from Pro’s Fore Charity (www.prosforecharity.com) are sure to challenge your golf game with a “Beat the Pros” contest, so be careful not to be named their “Worst Golfer of the Day”. Immediately following the last hole is the Awards Reception where prizes are given to the top three teams and all contest winners. 1st Place Prize package valued at over $1,000.
